120 Listings!
Our list of resources continues to grow as more young playwrights programs are founded, or become visible, online during the Coronavirus crisis. This morning, I added two more festivals to the map bringing the total number of listings to 120! New additions include:
Words by Kids is the first listing in the state of Montana. This afternoon, I connected with Marianne Adams, the Director of Education at the Grandstreet and learned that the program is a project done within her advanced 3rd and 4th grade students. They reach out to area classroom teachers and encourage the submission of ANY creative writing from students in the same grade level. The acting students at the Grandstreet Theatre School take those stories, poems, and other works and devise a performance that bring them to life. It sounds like a great project that I look forward to learning more about.
