Today, we unveil the first video in the Conversation series - a talk with Tara Henderson! Tara has a long history of working with young playwrights. As you will hear in the video, she began as an actor while still in college and as a teaching artist leading workshops in several schools. Tara's current full-time gig is performing as one of the Queens at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. We talk about the power of that role, the changes it has seen over the years, and the flexibility the job provides for Tara to seek out additional roles in film and theatre. We wrap up the interview with some great advice to young people (of all ages, really) about the importance of auditioning for the room and not for the role. It is incredible advice that I will steal in order to bring to my own students. Enjoy!
